After photos surfaced in May 2026 of Mbappé yachting in Sardinia with actress Ester Expósito during a club-supervised injury rehab, Real Madrid fans launched a petition that passed 33 million signatures within days. Madrid is out of the Champions League and Copa del Rey, and 11 points behind Barcelona in La Liga with four games left. He is still the team’s top scorer this season, and his contract runs to June 2029.
